Rehabilitation Medicine is a medical specialty that deals with the evaluation and treatment of patients whose functional abilities have been impaired. The Department of Rehabilitation is very fortunate to have an experienced and talented faculty who possess expertise in the following areas: spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, pain management, prosthetics and orthotics, electrodiagnostic medicine, pediatric rehabilitation, general physical medicine, and rehabilitation.

With an estimated 43 million Americans afflicted with some form of disability, the faculty of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine are committed to achieving medical and technological advances which give individuals with severely disabling conditions the potential to lead healthy and productive lives.
